People in Need: Financial Manager of Mission in Syria

People in Need’s programs for Syrian population inside the country focus mainly on provision of relief aid to ensure food security of affected vulnerable population as well as emergency education. Activities are coordinated from neighbouring country and performed in cooperation with PIN teams and local partners in Syria. More information available on the website: www.peopleinneed.cz. Location: Turkey, Gaziantep Starting date: April 2015 Duration: 18 months Main responsibilities:

Financial management of the mission
Maintaining overall mission budget and other financial monitoring tools
Cash flow planning
Working closely with Project Managers on budgets follow-up and other financial issues
Ensuring that PIN accounting practices, financial procedures and processes are in place
Ensuring compliance with donors requirements and local legal and administrative rules and regulations
Preparing financial reports to the donors and HQ
Participating on annual and project audits
Local team management and capacity building

Main requirements:

University degree in Economy
Good knowledge of double–entry accounting
Experience of working with an accounting and economic software
Excellent English both written and spoken
Experience with management of small team
Ability to organize and plan effectively
Ability to work in difficult conditions and under pressure
Cultural sensitivity, work/travel in development countries is a great advantage

FoRS – České fórum pro rozvojovou spolupráci
je platformou českých nevládních neziskových organizací (NNO) a dalších neziskových subjektů, které se zabývají rozvojovou spoluprací, rozvojovým vzděláváním a humanitární pomocí.

Organizace ve FoRS sdílejí společný zájem prosazovat vyšší relevanci a efektivnost české i mezinárodní zahraniční rozvojové spolupráce a zvyšovat její pozitivní dopady pro obyvatele rozvojových a transformujících se zemí.

Hlavním úkolem FoRS je zastupování společných zájmů členů a posilování spolupráce a vztahů mezi státními institucemi v ČR i EU a nevládními organizacemi na poli rozvojové spolupráce.
